Aumiller’s Inc. is a restoration company started by Chris Aumiller that specializes in damage caused by chimney fire, wind, storms, and other disasters and the insurance claims related to those damages.
Aumiller’s Inc. has been working with homeowners in the Greater Chicago Area and it’s suburbs for years and they are one of the few businesses that supplies property owners and insurance companies with a complete schedule of the repairs that need to be made.

A Message From Chris – Master Chimney Sweep
I handle my business with honesty, integrity, and experience. I have been cleaning chimneys since I was 12 years old, my uncle is a chimney sweep from back in the 70’s. I started cleaning chimneys with him as an apprentice back in 1978 in a little town named Hershey Pennsylvania, I would go on vacation for the summer and work with my uncle for Kean’s Chimney Sweep, which is still in business to this day, based out of Harrisburg PA. Working for my uncles company gave me the experience I needed to start my own company.
My grandfather, Albert Mark Keane, was a licensed solid fuel dealer in Harrisburg, and he distributed fuel oil for Sinclair oil. I remember as a child talking with my grandfather about his industrial experiences delivering fuel oil to residential homes, it’s always fun to hear stories from your grandfather and this grandfather was a great man! I always looked up to him.
I started cleaning chimneys part time in 1985 as a senior in high school in a little town called Elyria Ohio. After graduating high school, I started vocational training at Lorain County Joint Vocational School. My main course study was carpentry where I studied carpentry and the building trades in Oberlin Ohio. After getting my diploma and my certificate in carpentry, I moved with my family to Arlington Heights Illinois. My father was promoted and transferred to the suburb of Chicago and he encouraged me to come and said there was plenty of opportunity as it was a very large city. I took his advice and started a company called Aumiller’s Chimney Sweep and Repair, my vocational training helped me build my career. Along the way I have always diversified myself and learned more trades associated with chimney service.
